We’ve been hosting Thanksgiving with friends for over 10 years and we’re excited to continue the tradition for 2021 at the Duchess, Jewel’s new home. Come over anytime after 3pm on Friday Nov 26 and we’ll aim to serve dinner around 5pm though folks are welcome to graze anytime.
Logistics: All guests over 5 are vaccinated and children under 5 are welcome. We’ll have a table setup in the sunroom, open to the backyard with additional covered, heated spaces with additional seating, tables and standing room. Yard is fully fenced in and house will have rugs pulled up, so you’re OK to leave your shoes on for this one 🙂
Folks comfortable hanging out inside are welcome — we have several air filters running, including 2 tested to filter/kill viruses as small as COVID. There’s an outdoor oven, grill and 3 burners and an indoor stove with 4 gas burners for anyone wanting to heat up or prepare food here. We’ll also have a powerstrip for folks bringing a crockpot or warmer.
You’re welcome to enter via the front door or garage which passes directly through to the backyard and sunroom. A bathroom is located off the backdoor and another inside.
What to bring: Any leftovers you’d like to share. Please label if vegan, carnivorous or peanut/cashew allergens. See above for stove/oven access. Coolers will be out back for refreshments. We’ll have some heated beverages as well. And some thanks for sharing.
Games/Music: Bring an instrument if you’d like. We have plenty of guitars for sharing and cards for Mafia.
Parking: Plenty of on-street parking on Duke. No more dead-end street, yay!
