Enjoyed a lovely date day filled with sunshine and

Enjoyed a lovely date day filled with sunshine and yard work that turned weeding into harvesting to make dandelion pesto. Not sure yet what I’ll do with the roots but excited to try some fresh wild bergamot in a pasta sauce while drying the rest, along with loads of lemon balm for tea…just in time for cool, rainy days to come. And imagine my surprise when I found more passion fruit still ripe and delicious.
First photo is from Spring on Main. I rarely drink, so when I do I go fancy. It was their Victorian sour, though more sweet than sour, and tasted like my childhood favorite Pez candy 🤤
I’m grateful for getting some much deserved down time with my love after the wild September we had and soooo looking forward to fall. If y’all have any herbaceous and wild recipes to share, please send them my way for inspiration ✨

What a wild ride this last month has been! Two fun

What a wild ride this last month has been! Two funerals and a wedding, a year-long-in-the-planning fundraiser, a new job, a shift in my business model, saying goodbye to beautiful clients and hello to new ones, a week of solo puppy parenting … and more. Highlighted in these picts:
I’m absolutely overjoyed to officially call @heyivory my sister and loving our first sister shoot with @jenniarieshansen — we may not share blood but we share love and family. I’m eternally grateful that @jaketypo chose to trust his heart and for bringing our siblings together (and can’t wait to see those picts).
I CRIED when he and Ivory asked me to officiate. It’s been an honor of a lifetime and such a gift —especially in this sacred season that would be tumultuous if it weren’t so grounded in love and community that IS and extends beyond family.
As I finally take a pause to reflect, I’m also awed by everyone who reminded me along the way what it means to “show up” and helped me stay present *in the thick of it* — be it laps around a parking lot to walk and talk, soothing hugs, brief texts and emoticons, handwritten and hand typed letters, bonding over silly games (and canasta), group calls even when we have nothing more to share than “I see you”, last minute yesses to puppy sit and house sit. ..
Thanks to everyone (reading this or not) for teaching me about the power of simply being and loving.
