Even when it’s grey and light is dim, I find my soul outside. Today: refueling spirit at The Grotto, adventure down an alley, gratitude at the life force that runs through and connects us all through the air we breathe as whispered by a dry, stone fountain that also alluded to a well. 💦

Snow at the beach ❤️ just the other day I was chatting with a friend about how snow gives us a physical break from clutter, a temporary reprieve from the past and notions of the future, a direct line to now. Now, at the edge of the sound, is frigid.

I signed up for a writing workshop, with the hopes I’d find some inspiration for songwriting. We just had our 3 of 4 sessions yesterday and I wrote my first poem ... in a long while. Turns out writing can be a delicious form of procrastination (watch out, house cleaning). But, really, I’ve been enjoying nerding out on the etymology of words, exploring how our thoughts shift as names morph with context, shape, time and tongues and getting to listen to strangers share their souls and stories. #poetry #poetrydraft #a_vignette

spotted 5 phone booths in one yard and captured a couple while driving by, reminding me of a decade long compulsion to photograph #endangeredspaces , namely post offices and phone booths. sadly, 😉 due to the incredible weather i had to press on to find an open court to learn tennis.
